ZYNC is a full-service music licensing and publishing company specializing in synch for advertising, film, television, trailers, promos, and games. It was founded in 2002 by Sanne Hagelsten who then partnered with synch and publishing veteran Marisa Baldi (Universal Music Publishing, PolyGram Music Publishing, Maverick, Virgin) in 2003. Since then, we've secured over 20,000 licenses and have earned more than 100 million dollars for our clients.
We specialize in personalized service, both to the licensing community and to the artists, songwriters, labels, and publishers we represent. It’s our mission to ease the creative work of music supervisors and ad agencies, providing them with the earliest inside track on the hottest upcoming releases from our specially curated roster. We take great pride in developing close client relationships and employing a tailored, strategic approach to help meet their creative needs.
The potential of ZYNC’s success proliferated in 2017 when we entered into a partnership with Round Hill Music. This has allowed us to further expand our rights representation business and advance funds for signing new publishing and master deals. Now in addition to pitching from ZYNC’s robust frontline roster, we also work with the incredible Carlin and Round Hill catalogs - iconic copyrights like What a Wonderful World, Happy Together, Fever, I Got You (I Feel Good) and so much more. We are privileged to be able to bring our clients the best hits from nearly every decade and genre. In 2019, Marisa Baldi took over as Chief Creative Officer of Round Hill Music as Sanne left to spend more time with her growing family, and ZYNC became a Round Hill Company.
We have a full staff pitching in four offices - LA, NY, Nashville, and London - to best serve the 11th hour needs of the licensing community. ZYNC, as part of Round Hill Music, recently entered into a sub-publishing agreement with Warner Chappell Music for many ex-US territories where we are not direct, giving us creative reach around the world.
ZYNC continues to focus on signing emerging talent to join its ever expanding publishing roster, which includes: Black Caviar, Jaded, RoRo, Deap Vally, TT The Artist, Langhorne Slim, Yonaka, Battle Tapes, Confidence Man, Des Rocs, Black Pistol Fire, Reuben and the Dark, Dustin Atlas, Mama Haze, DJ Shub, Lazerbeak and more.
